Interview With Domo

Everyone give a warm welcome to 18 year old upcoming artist domo montoya santacruz are better known as Domo. Coming out of Surprise , Arizona with his latest hit “ Atom Bombs.

How’d you get the stage name “domo”?

“it’s kinda dumb but i like the little beer character domo, and i was like hmm well my names dom. sooo domo!!!”

Did you have any other stage names beforehand? if so, what?

“nope this would be my first”

What was it like growing up in surprise, Arizona?

“it’s hot, a lot of people which is good cause i like having a crowd of people around me.”

Did growing up in Arizona have any influence on your style?

“i mean i guess so since my rhymes are straight heat and arizona is one of the hottest states in the U.S. i think the corresponding pretty well.”

Did any artist influence your style? if so , who?

“oh man where do i begin. MF DOOM, K.A.A.N., beastie boys, joji, pink guy, rich brian, pharcyde, etc.”

What was it like writing Atom bombs?

“I was inspired by my favorite youtube corykenshin when he made a rap song from one of the tracks of this game Friday night Funkin. and it made me think “ yknow what… i wanna do this too””

What are your goals for 2021?

“start my career and get paid for doing what i love, which is making music.”
