Everyone give a warm welcome to EDC ‘ Every Dollar Counts’. Which consist of three artist J Baby, 33 Huncho & McSwayze. They’ve been a group for about 2 years and have recently getting the Buzz. With biggest song being ‘Summ’ which dropped April 16th and already has 53k streams. “We are determined to give our fans nothing but heartfelt content and our mission is to simply put smiles on all our listeners faces.”

How’d you guys come up with the stage name “EDC”?

““EDC” is our lifestlye. Each of us grew up with no handouts and worked hard for everything we have. Saving money was crucial for us. Hence the name, “Every Dolla Counts” To this day we live by that motto which is why the name is so important. “EDC” is what we represent. We want that message to stick with all our fans.”

Have you guys known each other forever?

“No, J Baby and 33 Huncho had already met and became close during their first year at University. Swayze didn’t come into the picture until the year after where us three were at the same party. During that party there was a big freestyle battle where each of us were outdoing one another. We each to took a liking for each others style and flow, which then led to making songs together in a studio. Of course, the first few songs were hits and then we saw the potential to really elevate our music to the next level.”

What made you guys want to become a group? Instead of just being an independent artist?

“We chose to be a group instead of individual artists because we are each heavily influenced by big rap groups such as: Migos, YBN, and even Mindless Behaviour. Our flows together are unique and we all have a different style that blends perfectly together. We saw the potential in each other to be just as great as those groups. Which is why we went that route.”

What made you guys want to pursue music?

“We each cannot go a day without listening to music. Music has individually helped us through all our highs and lows in life. Freestyle sessions definitely kick started the dream to pursue music after good reviews of our bars. After a lot of good feedback we decided that since we know how good music sounds it’ll be easy to make good music.”

Cover Art and Stream Count for Summ

What was it like writing ‘Summ’?

“Writing “Sumn” was easy. 33 Huncho and Swayze were simply writing from the heart. All of our work is strictly from the heart so listeners have a chance to hear our stories and so we can introduce them to our worlds. A lot of rappers usually freestyle or are not being truthful in their bars. We are the real deal.”

What are your guys goals before 2020 ends?

“We have multiple goals for the rest of 2020. We want our fan base to grow outside of the country. Along with: more YouTube subscribers, more saves on apple music/Spotify, and a lot more engagement on Instagram. Working with a big artist would be a big bonus as well.”
