Interview with Matt Graham
Everyone give a warm welcome to Matthew Alston or better know as Matt Graham. A new upcoming producer and artist from Pamplico, South Carolina. Be sure to keep a eye out for some of his work.
How’d you get the stage name Matt Graham?
“I did it for my grandma. She would always call me Matt and she was a Graham after she married my grandad.”
What made you want to pursue music?
“It’s always been a thing for me. When I was younger I used to beatbox and drum on the desk in class. I love the enjoyment and camaraderie it brings. You can hear a beat and see people dancing, nodding their heads and having a good time.”
Tell us more about your latest release?
“My latest ep I dropped in January it’s called Soul Tape 1: Head in the Clouds. It’s a mix of Lo-fi Hip hop and Trap Jazz instruments.”
What are your plans for 2020?
“I wanna drop another instrumental ep and drop a album with full vocals. And in between then drop a few singles.”
