Interview With Mytrix

Everyone give a warm welcome to Angel Rodriguez better known as Mytrix. A 27 year old upcoming artist from Central Florida with his latest single giving him a name for himself “As A Young Boy(Remix)”.

How’d you get the stage name “Mytrix”?

“My best friend helped me with it. I had named a character on League Of legends “Mytix” and he added the r to it and ever since then, “Mytrix” has been my name, kinda just happened and I liked it a lot. It’s very unique to me.”

What was it like growing up in Central Florida?

“Growing up in central Florida was really lame, there was never really anything to do unless it was in Tampa or Orlando and that was an hour drive minimum. I wouldn’t mind getting a secret house around here though, but only because traffic isn’t too bad around here and I know the area like the back of my hand.”

Did any other artist influence your style? If so, who?

“And uhhh, yeah I think so? lol i kinda try to go for my own sound, but I like Smokepurpp, Offset, Unotheactivist, Tokyo’s Revenge and many more so you MIGHT find an influence from them somewhere.”

What made you want to pursue music ?

“I’ve always had a thing for music, it’s always been my favorite, but really what made me wanna pursue it was me wanting to become someone, someone that can take care of their family and close friends, someone who doesn’t have to rely on anyone else for anything at all. I wanna be my own boss and a savior to my family.”

What was it like writing your “As a Young Boy (remix)”?

“That song so was fun to write and it came so naturally to me, I was kinda weirdly amazed at how cool and fun the song turned out to be. I wrote it in like 3 hours I think, cause I can’t freestyle to save my life”

What are your goals for 2021?

“My goals for 2021 is to blow up and make a name for myself. I know it won’t be easy but I’m ready to make it happen. I also wanna buy my mom a new house and a new car and just give her steady money so she ain’t gotta work no more. I have other things I wanna do too, but the ones I said are the most important ones to me.”
