Interview With ParkonRodeo

Welcome this upcoming duo from Canada. They’ve recently released a new EP titled ParkonRodeo.

What’s it like being a duo?

Being a duo allows us to share our ideas and be more creative in the music writing and producing process. The two of us grew up together so we can definitely trust each other, which lifts a lot of weight off our shoulders and makes the experience just that much better.

Are there any challenges being in a duo ?

Sometimes we don’t necessarily have the same vision for certain songs or beats, which can be somewhat of a challenge at times but we always seem to find ways to compromise and make the most out of every situation.

What was it like growing up in Canada for the both of you?

To be honest, we are so grateful to be born and raised in Canada. We are both huge hockey fans, and grew up playing that competitively as well. In terms of music, Canada has countless musical icons, from Drake to The Weeknd, who inspire us every day to reach our goals. Canada’s wide variety of culture influences the different types of music that people listen to, and helps create a strong and unique culture.

Did this influence the style of you guys in any way?

As said previously, names like Drake and The Weeknd are huge idols to us in music, so naturally we try to incorporate some elements of their style into our sound, yet we still strive to sound unique in every track.

What made you guys want to pursue music?

We have both always had a huge passion for music. From performing at the local church, to writing music, music has always been a centerpiece in our lives. It’s always been a dream to perform in front of any audience, and to be able to connect with the fans through the power of our music. Being able to write music and share it to the world is such an amazing feeling as artists because it feels like we are sharing our hearts as well.

What was it like working on ur guys EP?

Working on the EP allowed us to have the ability to learn the ins and outs of creating music. We used this EP as a learning experience for future projects to try and find a sound we love and that we can work with.

What are your guys goals for 2021?

Creating meaningful music to us, and doing what we love. We want to connect our music to everyone so we can all share what we feel in our songs. It would be great to gain some exposure and broaden our reach to people all over the world in 2021.
