Interview with Ruindaray

Everyone say hello to Deshaun D Frazier or better know as Ruindaray. A 20 year old upcoming artist that was born in Carson, California. Grew up in California for 17 years then joined the army in 2017. He’s been writing music since middle school but only recently got the courage to show people what hes all about.With biggest song out titled “Cold Bitch.” He said “ I want people to know my talents and what passion is, I see myself taking off with hard work and dedication. “

How did you come up with the name Ruindaray?

“So honestly I was in the back of my step moms car thinking about if were to pursue music what would my name be, and I was like my Xbox name is “Ruincatastrophe”, hm what if I wanted to do a collab with my dad his name was DaRay, so what if like DaRay was ruined…then I was like nah no no but if RuinDaRay and i paused and said fuck a collab that’s my rap name.”

What was i like growing up in California?

I mean living in Cali was fun. I like it because it’s just a lot of shit to do and see even though it’s expensive all bullshit aside it is expensive, I tried to steal to help out my mom by selling the shit at school. lol that didn’t work , pretty dumb because I got caught. Nice people a lot of diversity.”

What made you wanna pursue music?

“I used to write lyrics in middle school and i remember telling my mom “how would you feel if I was a rapper?” She told me “as long as I’m bringing in money and I’m happy then she fine with it”. I honestly want to be heard I want people to know me, my talents, personality and what I’m about. Be the first in my family to make a name for ourselves.”

Did any artist influence your style? If so who?

“Oh hell yeah 100%. XXXTENTACION, E-40, Logic, J Cole, Kendrick, Trippe Redd and Ski Mask.”

What was it like writing “Cold Bitch”?

“It was honestly easy like I was writing that on some play shit, like no bullshit. I had faith it was gonna be a different song.”

What are your goals for 2020?

“Honestly my goals are to attempt to get my foot in the door, make an album, gain more followers, build a better more stable fanbase, make my first music video, just put smiles on people faces and mainly make them look like woow this man is on this shit i like.”
