Interview with Tilla Kairos
Everyone say hello to upcoming artist Tilla Kairos. With two biggest songs being “Feelings ft Osiruss and Ru7lesoul” and other being “Turn of the century”. Be sure too keep a watch out for the next biggest star out of New Jersey.
Where did you get the stage name Tilla Kairos?
“The name Tilla Kairos came from a few inspirations, Kairos came first and is heavily based in Greek Mythology. He is the God of Opportunity. There’s a few other definitions online like “the perfect moment”. Tilla came to me afterwards to make Tilla Kairos or broken down- Till a perfect moment.”
What made you want to pursue music?
“I’ve always been heavily geared towards music since I was 8 or 9 years old. Growing up with a lot of dis-function pushed me towards music as a way of expressing myself amongst the chaos and once I started I was hooked.”
What was it like writing “Turn of the century”?
“Turn of the Century was an amazing experience to write, from beginning to end. My producer at the time Black Collar Biz specifically reached out to me and said “ I made this beat with you in mind. What do you think?” I heard it and immediately loved it. I’d spent a lot of time learning and connecting with the idea of how I wanted to be heard, and once I’d started completing the track and the rest of the A.M Project, as an artist I knew I was made for this and am ready.”
Did any artist influence your style? If so who?
“There’s a couple of artist that influenced my style, all of the greats of course like Jay Z, Eminem, Drake, Meek Mill but as artist, and the people I am most influenced by that list gets a little more precise. The Weeknd, Post Malone, 6lack, and my main influence are Nipsey Hussle, XXXtentacion, and Jucie Wrld. Although they are gone I still listen to them every day especially Nipsey.”
What are your goals for 2020?
“My goals for 2020 are simple, take over the DMV and start playing as many shows as possible; three which are booked for the month of March thanks to a good friend. Use the knowledge I’ve gathered to focus harder on music, get people understanding about who I am and the energy I bring to the table, growth in my fanbase, and to give all for every single person who listens to my music and comes to see me perform. My goal in between all of that is to record with as many producers and engineers as I can, put out a few singles, another 10 song project, and lastly to grow with every experience in route to becoming the biggest star on the planet.”
