Seven Of My Top Artist Of 2019
This list is a personal preference on the top seven music artist of 2019. Based off my music stats. Check out my best picks for my top seven music artist.
7. Night Lovell
Starting of the list with Night Lovell. Lovell had some bops that dropped in 2019 such as “Bad Kid”. After my favorite song “Jamie’s Sin” dropped In 2017, I didn’t know what could top that. But Lovell really showed off in 2019 with his album “GOODNIGHT LOVELL”. Which made me fall in love his style yet again.
6. Ski Mask The Slump God
Next up we got Ski Mask The Slump God. With Ski Mask branching out this year and going more versatile, it really brought me back in to loving the one and only Slump God. With featuring on songs such as “Hey Mister” and “How You Feel?”. I really enjoyed these two songs, bringing back the old vibes but still bringing something new to the table. Then ending the year off with dropping with “Carbonated Water” which brought back the old Ski and X duo.
5. Reo Cragun
At spot number five we have Reo Cragun. Reo started getting real big this year with his first ep of the year with Mike & Keys “Far From Famous” dropping. This EP was one of my favorite projects from this year. He brought a cool new vibe that hasn’t been shown much by him. Then shortly dropping “Quits” with Flume. Flume and Reo really brought the heat with this one. He reached over 20 million streams on song “Friends” which personally was one of my favorites.
4. Denzel Curry
We then have Denzel Curry. You might know Denzel from his huge song titled “Ultimate”. But Denzel has many more songs that might peak your interest. With songs such as “Ricky” and “Psycho” dropping this year. With the weird horror vibes from “Psycho” it’s willing to draw anyone's attention. I enjoyed the new styles Denzel brought to these two songs.
3. XXXTentacion
Next on the list we have XXXTentacion aka X. X sadly passed away in 2018 but his management team continued to put music out. On his new album“Bad Vibes Forever” they dropped some of his songs he previewed awhile ago such as “Ugly” and “Numb The Pain”. This made a old X fan like me happy. Even featuring some of his older songs featured on the album. X was still one of my favorites from 2019 even though he was sadly not here. Long Live X.
2. IDK
At number two we have IDK. My friend showed me IDK last year and I’m so glad he did. With songs such as “Black sheep, White Dove” and “No Words”. IDK shows how creative and diverse he can be on his tracks. With switching up and rapping in a whole new style on the same song. I think IDK is one of the most slept on rappers of this year. Racking up 8 million streams on his biggest song “Once Upon A Time (Freestyle)”. IDK continues to put out bops.
1. JameirKGolden
Last but not least we have Jameirkgolden. Jameir was my artist of the decade on Spotify in 2019. With songs such as “Mix Match Socks” and “Scum(Interlude)” dropping this year. I really enjoy Jameir’s styles and what he brings to the table. Which you never know what hes bringing when you listen to him. Each song showcases something different. With all the different flows and styles Jameir is sure to be the next big star outta Louisville.
